100% African American

in Multi-racial

The entire Black race is “mixed”. This is my son’s daughter who is not half, fourth, or eighth anything. She has fair skin and blue eyes.

Get over it guys.

prettygurl February 12, 2012 at 2:48 am

my grandmather is fully african american with no white ancestors and has stunning chrystal blue eyes and has very fair skin like me. so this beautiful baby doesnt have to have any white in her to have blue eyes . by the way she is beautiful and dont mind the retardos that have negative comments to say about this precious little girl

Grayeyes_still_bad August 20, 2011 at 11:49 pm

Ashamed at all you grown people talking and claiming you know what’s right, gray, green and blue eyes run in my family. Pure African-American on both sides, no one was white, our family came from Africa, Somalia, and we were colors ranging from dark gingerbread to light caramel, no white ancestry. I’m brown with gray eyes, that change colors, as well as my 6 other cousins who’s eyes change colors. Don’t assume that someone is mixed with something else, she’s showing joy and pride in her family’s genetics because people seem to think black isnt so beautiful and if your not exotic looking your not cute.

kimberly washington February 8, 2011 at 6:17 pm

I don’t know why everyone saying that this baby isn’t all black, isn’t that what being an African American is she could’ve gotten those eyes from her great great grandmother

galaxy55 February 6, 2011 at 3:31 am

@Nikki
Black people can have blue eyes. I read an article on genetics some time ago. It stated that eye color is not entirely genetic. Also, it is believed that blue eyes stem from a genetic mutation (like blonde hair). Usually, when a black baby is born with blue eyes, the baby’s eye color changes to brown or hazel by the time the baby is a year old but not in all cases. My cousin, for example, was born with blue eyes and still has them as an adult. It isn’t entirely correct that for a black baby to have blue eyes, the baby must have caucasian ancestry. That is akin to saying that caucasians with dark brown eyes must have black African ancestry.

If you still aren’t convinced, check these videos out of black (some African) with blue eyes. Blue eyes amongst black people are more common than you think.

Anonymous January 29, 2011 at 6:17 pm

Actually alot of black africans are mixed to be honest it depends what countries you are looking at.

nikki January 19, 2011 at 5:12 am

oh please, there’s no such thing she definitely has some white in her sweety, there are no all black ppl w/ blue eyes

Anonymous January 13, 2011 at 3:58 am

Most black babies are light skinned when they are born and some have blue eyes.

Wait till she’s a year and some change that will all be different.

??? January 8, 2011 at 7:34 am

These people on this site have taken this way to personal. The baby is beautiful and contrary to everyone’s belief, you can be/say whatever you want to be.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
2011 WHOOP WHOOP! :D :D :) :)

Quinni December 30, 2010 at 12:34 am

i’m sure she’s merely stating that her granddaughter is not a “direct” descendant of a white parent or grandparent. Maybe her granddaughter is not 1/2, 1/4 or 1/8 white. I’m sure she is not implying that there is no white blood and the “100%” statement was a misunderstanding. Most African Americans are not 100% black but some of us consider ourselves totally black when our grandparents and parents are considered black. Obviously, there is white lineage but I don’t see why this is a reason to get offensive and/or make ignorant comments.

Lollypop December 25, 2010 at 6:08 am

MERRY CHRISTMAS PEOPLES! :D :)

Kellen December 24, 2010 at 7:14 am

@ ASHANTI PRINCESS I AGREE WITH YOU 100%

Tehya December 22, 2010 at 7:21 pm

You can still get a gene from 10 generations ago

quenB December 20, 2010 at 4:17 pm

did you have an affair?

queenB December 20, 2010 at 4:15 pm

did you have an affair ?

prettygurl March 6, 2012 at 12:24 am

do you have anything else to say than bad things about this cute baby

Yolanda December 16, 2010 at 4:01 pm

Read Black Inidan by Lauren Katz. Blacks have been mixing with ohers in America for over 400 years. I am 46 years old and am Choctaw, Muskoogee Creek, Blackfoot, Italian, En glish and african decent. But in America I am 100 percent African American. Go figure.

Yolanda December 16, 2010 at 3:57 pm

$100 percent African American? What is that? I am “black” my very extremeley light skinned mother is “black”. In America it is very possible to have two black “black parents” and have a chile with green blue eyes light hair. Black people have been in America for over 400 years even before there was a United states (the union was formened after the end of the civil war). So…..African Americans have been race mixing for over 400 years. The person who said ehat this 100 percent african american baby is not mixed is incorrect and they need to go back to school or read some books. Read Black Indians by Loren Katz. I am African American but I am really of Choctaw, Musskogge creek, Blackfoot, African, Italian, English decent. But in America I am 100 percent African American.

Ethnic Studies December 16, 2010 at 4:25 am

Take a History class, interracial couples in the early 1800′s and late 1700′s was widely accepted and Blacks, Spanish, Native Americans, And Whites intermingled and had all types of mixed babies. It wasn’t until around the 1820′s that darker skinned people were seen as inferior. Some white people today have African Ancestry but will never know it because Africans or dark skinned relatives were erased from the family tree to avoid embarrassment. This is due to recessive genes, everyone had over 100,000 genes but each person is only made up of only 6 genes! So it is far too common that certain traits disappear and reappear from time to time, but that’s only your history being reborn :)

Anonymous December 16, 2010 at 4:24 am

ummm yes it can nicole…please go back to school

nicole December 16, 2010 at 2:45 am

with all respect no baby can have those eyes or be that fair if there just plain black so you might wanna think again

to Kamilla December 15, 2010 at 9:37 pm

who says that she was talking about you and your family?????? Congrats to you for finding a man who is a wonderful father!!! (what does that have to do with her grandchild being 100% African American??) I find it very funny how you became sooo defensive when she just said that she is 100% African American. maybe you are the one with the issues!!! She is just letting people know that all light skinned blue eyed babies are not “mixed” shes just letting it be known that her grandchild probably looks like yours and does not have to worry about her being 50% black 25% Irish and 25% Scottish….
Did you ever think about that???!!!!!

P.S. there is not THAT much of a difference in the genetic make-up if her grandbaby looks like yours and shes the one with two black parents while your child is “Half and Half”

SMH December 15, 2010 at 8:48 pm

this website is discusting…so being mixed, light skined light eyes with nice hair makes a baby or adult cute? This baby is beautiful no doubt but come on now I guess thats how beauty is defined in America? Figures why so many black girls have self hate

okayy... December 15, 2010 at 7:58 pm

you people make me so SICK!!!!!!! Okay. Thats great that your kid is Black/Swedish/Puerto Rican/Irish/German/Filipino/Native American/French and all of these other different ethnicity but it gets annoying after a while when you always gotta name EVERYTHING in your dag-on family tree!! What makes you more special than the person that doesn’t?? People get too caught up on looks. So what if she is a light skinned African American, it does not mean that she HAS to have someone in her immediate family be white!!! that’s just ignorant!!!! genes have a funny way of popping up when you least expect it. A friend of the family has TWO African American American parents but she looks as though she comes from south east Asia with curly hair fair skin and small Asian eyes. she says that she is African American despite her looks because she knows whats up! if she doesnt identify herself, society will.

I understand that you don’t want one side of the family to be chosen over the other ethnicity wise but GOSH!!!!!! there is nothing new to this “mixing” thing. they have been doing it since the begining of time but I don’t think they cared to much about what ethnic percentage is. we all are part of the same freakin family!!!!!! I just wish that we all would stop putting labels on ourselves and each other and just call ourselves HUMAN. that is what we ALL are at the end of the day.

Plus for educational purposes, when the term “African-American” is used, it is for those whose ancestors took part in the trans-atlantic slave trade in America. By saying this, one should already know that there was alot of “mixing” going on in the first place (if you are properly educated!!!!!)

Anonymous December 15, 2010 at 7:00 pm

This child is beautiful…who cares what race she is. She is a child of God. The ignorant comments makes me sick…please go get educated before you say dumb stuff. My child is mixed and everyone things she is Mexican, because she has white people hair. Children can be made from millions of genes that are in the mother and father and that can make anything. If you are seriously on here saying ignorant things..please go find yourself a hobby or go read and get educated. All races are beautiful and if you dont think so…you are insecure and have issues.

Linnea December 14, 2010 at 7:37 pm

Congrats! Finally someone who is not ashamed of her heritage!! I gave you FIVE stars.

Jacquelyn December 7, 2010 at 7:34 pm

Even if her eyes and coloring change, she will still be just as gorgeous!! All hair, eye color, and skin colors are wonderful!! What difference does it make whatever ethnic makeup the baby is? Everyone needs to start being kinder to people, life is too short! God bless everyone!

keisha December 3, 2010 at 6:05 pm

yes she is mixed with white! im mix this way on moms side she black/white/cherokee & dad is half black half white and im solodad o’brien’s colour,i know very light huh?but i think though all the mixing the has occured in my family im the same as a biracial person geneticly.my husband is white and it’s very likely that our kids we look the same as solodad kids who are 75% white.

jasmine November 22, 2010 at 10:40 pm

@ashanti princess no one is pure anything anymore there are no pure africans not even in africa and know u wanna feel as though there are but there isnt

Jeanine November 22, 2010 at 3:32 pm

She is absolutely beautiful beyond words! Congratulations to you and your family!!

Emilly November 19, 2010 at 5:45 pm

Everyone on earth (in my opinion) originated in africa. So anyone can pop out as any shade of skin or eyes. STILL this beautiful baby has a white ancestor because she is too light. Even if you had just one white relative in your family 10 generations ago, it is still possible for the genes of that person to be passed on to each and every child and there is like a 25% chance a child could not only carry the gene, but show the gene in it’s physical appearance.

PuhlEEze November 17, 2010 at 2:32 pm

Its nice to see people that say that they are Black or white and not add a whole heap of ethnicities in their genes… that they have not clue about..

aimee November 9, 2010 at 4:23 am

yes she has white somewhere, or maybe her father is not her father haha

Rochelle November 2, 2010 at 1:43 pm

Some of these responses are so ignorant. Read up and learn something before you make such racists comments. Blue eyes can be linked to a genetic mutation, doesnt have anything to with having white in her. And someone said she’s going to get black as if that is a bad thing -color is beautiful. You have a beautiful grandaughter bottom line don’t let some of these hateful comments get to you.

sunny October 30, 2011 at 12:06 am

your exactly right, they are probably genetic mutations, it doesn’t mean she is mixed or anything

Laura October 31, 2010 at 12:36 am

Oh she is such a little dolly!!
I have 2 children (that i have posted on here) Xavier is my son and Amilia Jayde. Their daddy is Native Australian (from the Torres Strait) and i am white Australian. My sons skin in light like mine and our daughter is quite dark. Im so sick of people looking at me and questioning if she is my daughter and if my children have the same dad!!
I guess you son and his partner get it all the time, people questioning and looking at them. She is just absolutely beautiful.

Dana October 28, 2010 at 1:42 am

Looks like she inherited back from somewhere! My mom the same thing. She’s the only light person in the family. We’re all caramel to dark brown skinned & she’s high yellow with sandy red hair. I bet if you do an ancestor search you’ll find out exactly where those genes came from!

Rochelle October 24, 2010 at 9:20 pm

AND HOW DARE ANY OF U QUESTION HER SON OR THIS CHILDS MOTHER, YOU DONT KNOW THIS FAMILY!!! THIS WOMAN WAS SIMPLY COMING TO SHARE HER HAPPINESS AND LOVE FOR HER GRANDCHILD!! SHAME ON YOU!

Rochelle October 24, 2010 at 9:18 pm

WELL SAID KAMILLA!!! I AM PORTUGUESE AND MY KIDS ARE HALF PORTUGUESE AND HALF BLACK AND ARE LIGHT SKINNED BUT WITH BEAUTUFUL MIXED HAIR!! WE ARE RAISING OUR DAUGHTERS TO LOVE THEMSELVES AND OTHERS THE WAY GOD MADE THEM, I AM VERY VERY PROUD TO BE THE MOTHER OF 2 SUCH BEAUTIFUL BLACK CHILDREN!

MixedMe October 23, 2010 at 10:49 am

Well sID kamilla! I hope you say that often ’cause I’m tired of deeling with this from Black people. I’m mixed, I came from 2 mixed parents who both have a parent that isn’t Black!

Kamilla October 19, 2010 at 11:21 pm

Listen, I’M BLACK AND I FIND YOUR POSTING OFFENSIVE!!!mY HUSBAND IS WHITE, BUT HE’S OUR DAUGHTR’S FATHER BEFORE ANYTHING.. hE IS A GREAT DAD WHO WORKS HARD AT TAKING CARE OF OUR FAMILY AND HE IS THE BEST DAD IN THE WORLD TO HIS DAUGHTER. hOW DARE YOU SUGGEST THAT MY CHILD SHOULD DENY HIS GENETIC COMPONENT IN HER BLOOD, JUST CAUSE CERTAIN FOLKS ARE CAUGHT UP ON SKIN COLOR. wE RAISE OUR DAUGHTER TO BE PROUD OF HER MIXED BIOLOGICAL ETHNICITY, REGARDLESS OF NPEOPLE LIKE YOURSELVES WHO FEEL INTIMIDATED OR UNCOMFORTABLE WITH HER ETHNICITY.SO PLEASE DONT TELL ME OR ANYONE THAT MY DAUGHTER HAS TO DENY HER DAD OR HIS SIDE OF THE FAMILY; TO MAKE IGNORANT AND LOW SELF ESTEEM/PRE-SLAVERY MINDED BLACK FOLKS FEEL BETTER ABOUT THEMSELVES… MY HUSBAND IS 100% HER DAD AS YOUR SON IS TO YOUR GRANDCHILD. THIS SITE IS NOT ABOUT 2% MIXTURE OF ANOTHER RACE. iTS ABOUT TWO BIOLOGICAL PARENTS OF TWO DIFFERENT RACE BRINGING THEIR 50% TO THE OTHER 50% AND CREATING A FULL BI-RACIAL AND MULTI-CULTURAL CHILD. tHERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THE GENETIC MAKE UP OF A MULTI CULTURAL CHILD THAN THAT OF A BLACK CHILD THAT MAY HAVE A DROP OF WHITE OR INDIAN, CHINESE WAY BACK DOWN THEIR FAMILY GENE POOL. REAL BI-RACIAL PEOPLE HAVE VERY DIFFERENT BLOOD/GENETIC MAKE UP THAN THAT OF YOUR GRANDAUGHTER. FOR EXAMPLE, MY DAUGHTER CANNOT JUST GET AN ORGAN DONATION JUST FROM ANY BLACK OR WHITE PERSON-IT WOULD HAVE TO BE AN ORGAN DONOR OF THE SAME MULTI-CULTURAL BACKGROUND. IT IS VERY HARD TO FIND A GOOD MATCH. YOU CAN ASK ANY COMPETENT PHYSCIAN, THEY’LL EDUCATE YOU ON YOUR COLOR COMPLEX. THIS NAIVE THINKING STEMS FROM THE HOUSE NEGRO DAYS, WHERE THE LIGHTER BLACKS WERE KEPT IN THE HOUSE AND THE DARKER SKINNED BLACKS RESENTED THEM FOR RECEIVING BETTER TREATMENT FROM THEIR SLAVE MASTERS. WE ARE NOT IN SLAVERY AND NO ONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER REGARDLESS IF YOU ARE WHITE, CHINESE, INDIAN,ETC. SO DONT LET YOUR INSECURITY TOWARDS MULATTOS GET IN THE WAY OF COMMON PROVEN BIOLOGICAL SENSE!!!!!

sunny October 30, 2011 at 12:03 am

Wow, relax this site is for all races not just for mixes, go look at the side bar…. just compliment the poor girl, she is beautiful, mixed race or not, the site is about showing babies from another race etc. showing variety not to see who looks more black or white etc.

Monique October 12, 2010 at 6:18 pm

im hispanic and Creole-(french/black)
i came out light
my brother came out a dark.
we both have same parents.
our last name is fontenot so we have white in us
i knew a black couple who had blue eyes their last name is Duckworth-white name

Sammi September 23, 2010 at 4:15 pm

I’m sorry, but I’m offended at your “entire black race is mixed” comment. Don’t assume that we’re all mixed just because your ancestors were unlucky enough to be enslaved.

Anonymous September 21, 2010 at 1:55 am

not really a cute baby blue eyes or not- black people get over skin complexion, hair and eye color and look for real beauty!!!!!!

vanessa September 4, 2010 at 7:57 am

my eyes are blue, and i’m African American, my skin is brown. my mom and dad are african american .my grand mother’s eye’s are blue and her skin color is as jet black as black could ever get .she is from Macon georgia.like the lady said african amercan’s are not pure. but white gene’s in our blood ran out long ago. everyone in my family never went out side our race.I know my family tree do you?

Edd August 31, 2010 at 8:59 pm

yeah. her eyes are going to change brown. and her skins going to get black. sorry to be the party pooper

QPT August 27, 2010 at 10:28 pm

Just a note, her eyes might change.

Caucasian babies are often born with steel gray or dark blue eyes; they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time they’re 9 months old. That’s because a child’s irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after she’s born, but they won’t get “lighter” or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes actually have more pigment than grey or blue eyes, even if they appear lighter in color.)

: ) August 18, 2010 at 4:13 am

that is what you call a beautiful baby… you guys are so lucky. i’ve never seen anything so beautiful… AND CUTE!!!!

Alaina August 14, 2010 at 4:40 am

Well it’s very possible look at Vanessa L Williams!
I’m fully black and I have freckles and long red hair
My sister has light green eyes and sandy blonde hair
my brother is the same as me so it is possible!
African Americans are the most versatile race!!!(=

Anonymous August 13, 2010 at 2:05 am

Go Find that White Man!!……

Sorry!! I had to say that! LMAO

Anonymous August 12, 2010 at 4:12 pm

yeah there is white in here somehow.

Ashanti Princess August 11, 2010 at 8:06 pm

The “entire” Black race is not mixed. Black Americans, yes … but I’m from Africa (Ghana) and most black Africans are not mixed. Your Grandaughter is a very pretty girl but she for sure has some white in her. I have seen naturally occurring blue eyes in my country only twice – both times the kiddies had a form of ocular degeneration.

fuzzybear August 16, 2010 at 1:25 am

To Ashanti Princess

Although it’s what been taught, not all African Americans are from West Africa. There from all over the place including Europe.Ther could other reasons why the baby has those eyes
